Help!

I need to find a modification of the Levenberg-Marquardt method for
fitting a multi-variable function to a set of data. That is, I have a
set of data (x,y) and I want to fit it to a function of the form f(x,y).
It is nonlinear. I'm sure this is a fairly common need, and someone has
probably written the code. Does anyone know where I can access it?
