Research Systems is pleased to announce that a patch is now available for
download from the RSI Web site. The patch corrects a color translation error
introduced in IDL 5.5 on Linux, Solaris X86 and Tru64 UNIX when running in
the 24-bit TrueColor and 24-bit DirectColor visual classes. The problem
causes unexpected colors and vertical striping when the TV and TVSCL
routines are used to display images.

The patch is a single sharable object library that can be dropped into the
IDL 5.5 installation. To download the patch and view instructions, please
visit http://www.researchsystems.com/services/output.cfm?tip_id=32 57.

Regards,
