Hi, I'm trying to make a diagram, which happens to contain many
straight dotted lines with different lengths and angles. Oplot, with
linestyle=1, is meant to give dotted lines, but they're more like very
short dashes - normally this is no problem. However, it seems the
dashes change length and thickness, depending on the length and angle
of each line, so the lines all look quite different. It isn't a
display problem, it's like this in the postscript file (at highest
magnification, or printed on different printers). It doesn't seem to
be a problem with IDL's postscript 'pixel size'...? Is there any way
to get 'dotted' lines that look exactly the same, independent of their
length/angle?
thanks,

Richard
