Hi,

I am a newbie. I want to modify the demo program "Thunder Storm" that
comes with IDL. It is 'd_vectrack' in demo dir. I have problem understanding
how the data are read into it. Since the program restore 'storm25.sav' and
'storm25b.sav', they give the variables, 'P', 'T', 'U', 'V', 'W' and 'MB',
'PB', 'TB, respectively. However, the scolldown menu has 'P', 'T', 'M'. I
don't see how the data are transfered to those variables. Has anyone done
the similar job and willing to help me?

I think I need to know what variables pass those values. Or can I just
replace the value of 'P' in 'storm25.sav' and let the program read it? (
Will this produce the correct graph?).
