Hi

We have a problem with the IDL smooth function. When smoothing a large image
(3633x8177 pixels) of floating point values using SMOOTH with a 45 pixel
window width the output image has strange stripes in it. The stripes come
regularly (the spacing between the lines seem to be a multiple of 16384),
are zero valued and are 43x1 pixels wide. My first guess is some internal
working space overflow. Can this be, has anyone encountered a similar
problem and know of a solution.
