A beta release of the IDL/CSPICE (Icy) dlm interface is available for
evaluation.
CSPICE is the C version of the JPL SPICE ephemeris/geometry library used to
read/write navigation trajectory data files (known as kernels), perform
various geometry calculations and time conversions. Neither CSPICE, nor the
FORTRAN version - SPICE, are related to circuitry design.
As Icy serves as the interface to the CSPICE library, an interested user
requires the CSPICE delivery for their machine. Icy is intended for current
SPICE/CSPICE users of those researches interested in learning the SPICE
paradigm.
The interface consists of some 280 interface symbols. All Icy calls have the
string cspice_ appended the the CSPICE call name to identify the external
library and to prevent any possibility of name collision.
Download CSPICE:

cd to pub/naif/toolkit/C
cd to the directory for your platform
Alpha_Digital_UNIX_C

PC_Win95NT_C

SGI_O32_C
Sun_Solaris_C
Sun_Solaris_GCC
cd to packages
Download all files in the directory. Note: download
*.tar.Z and *.exe in binary; download .hqx files
as ASCII.
Download Icy:
Anonymous ftp to naif.jpl.nasa.gov
cd to pub/naif/misc/edw/
download (binary) icy_deliver.tar.gz .
The Icy directory includes example .pro scripts and
the required data files.
