Failure in call_external in new IDL5.5 [message #30795]

Hi,

I have been producing shareable libraries in order to call external
C++ code from IDL, however since I have updated the IDL version to 5.5
the compilation fails when including the new "external.h". I am using
a Gnu compiler 5.95, I would like to know if anyone else has noticed
the same problem and if the have found a solution to it. I have
reported it to research systems but I don't know how long this is
going to take.

I would appreciate any comments, it is scary to think that your
applications work in 5.4 and not in the improved 5.5.
