Hi all-
I've noticed that all my IDL output is Postscript Level 1, does IDL not use
Level 2 or is there an option to use Level 2 (Level 3)? I thought Level 2 and
3 have better image compression capabilities and since IDL is an image handling
language, I'm surprised that all my output is Level 1 only. (Using IDL 5.2 BTW)

Also, since I've found IDL's Postscript to be "good" Postscript, that is
conforming to the standards, at least no other application I've run into has
complained, I thought of writing routines to convert between Level 1 and Level
2. I've done some routines to read in bitmapped formats and write postscript
output, and I just thought it might be nice to read in Postscript and ouput it.
Can IDL read in Postscript?
