Hi all -
I have been maintaining the IDL FAQ for the last year. A few weeks ago
it looked as if my days were numbered at Hughes. They are moving a part
of my divison and I am reluctant to move with it. I was out looking for
work and an offer was imminent from another company. The short story
is that Hughes has decided they might miss me, so I will be staying for
a while longer. The long story is not interesting unless you were in
the middle of it, like I was. During the commotion, I contacted Ray
Sterner, a frequent poster to this group who is mentioned in several
places of the FAQ, and asked if he'd be willing to take over. I'd like
to thank him for accepting the offer and working on updating the FAQ so
quickly. He has already converted the FAQ to an HTML version and has it
on his own site.
Also, I'll be changing camps. The project I have just started is in
PV-Wave. Lots of widget work. Hopefully I'll get a clue pretty quick on
the differences, although it doesn't look too bad at this point.
Thanks to all for being polite when pointing out my screw-ups.
