Hi everybody,

I am having a problem in reading data with READ or READF procedure
under MacOS. If some variable is assigned a value and I try to read
that variable applying some format code, it gives me error that
'%Unable to apply format code .. to variable'.

I have a code that reads data from.dat file , and some of the values
in that are 'NaN'. I encountered this problem while trying to run the
code under MacOS. It runs fine under Linux though. I apply format code
like '3f10.3' and it gives me the above mentioned error. This looks
like a problem with MacOS only. If anybody could help me...
