Is there a way to suppress error messages in PV-Wave?

Another person who emailed me off list ran into the same problem with
AVI_OPENW and assures me that his path is correct. He said that
AVIkrTest8Bit.pro works w/o problem. He is running IDL 5.5 on win98. I
can't verify it (don't have a win98 machine) but there may be an issue with
the aviIDL.dlm and some versions of windows.

Wow, this is the second time today I have answered this one and it is only
9am...

Look at the source and read the docs. You need to set the path to the .avi
file you want to create in the call to AVI_OPENW. My guess is that
'D:/avi/' is not a valid path on your machine.
