Hi,

Just an easy question I think: Does anyone know which routinue is best for doing
simple linear regression? I basically need to draw a "best fit" line through a
scattering of data, but I also need the R^2 coefficient (i.e. the measure of how
good a fit) also computed. I've been looking at "svdfit" and "polyfit" but
neither as far as I can tell gives you r^2.
