Has anyone compiled a list of well known bugs/work arounds
which are encountered on SGI ?
I guess I am looking to save my self hours of head ache from falling foul
of bugs/features of IRIX falvour of UNIX as well as other well known products
running on SGI machine(s). Currently I am interested in knowing IDL features
to SGI, as well RPC features on IRIX.
I suspect, SGI must keep such a list and in an ideal world they would put up
such a time from time to time, for that matter would create an archive server
serving up such a list and possibly other goodies - but I guess thats asking
too much from any computer manufacturer to present a list of bugs/features and
work arounds openly on the internet.
Mind you its just this sort of herd mentality that you want to get away from
when working with innovative, successful company such as SGI.
