I am starting to work with the Terra-MODIS data files. Due to the
scanner confirguration, there is a distortion long the edges, often
refer to as the "Bowtie Effect". The bowtie effect can be removed by
doing some interpolation and extrapolation of the navigation information
provided in the MODIS data files.

However, before I attempt this on my own in IDL, has anyone else down
it and willing to share their knowledge on this matter?
