Greetings-
I can't imagine that I am the only one using Microsoft Word and
other windows applications along with IDL 3.6. So I wanted to post a
quick message regarding Windows Postscript printer drivers and IDL
Encapsulated Postscript files.

The Problem- When I tried importing EPS files into windows apps, I see
only information regarding the graphic when I print the document.

Configuration:
Microsoft Windows 3.1
IDL 3.6.1 for Windows
Microsoft's Generic Postscript printer driver (PSCRIP.DRV)

If you have a problem with printing EPS files from windows apps, then
you may need to upgrade the Postscript driver (PSCRIP.EXE is the self
extracting archive available from Microsoft's Download Service and
possibly from ftp.microsoft.com).

I now have version 3.58 of this postscript driver, display of the preview
images (set by ,/preview in the device statement in IDL) still doesn't
work in the application, but it does seem print correctly.
