To Group,

x=[2,4,6,8]
y=[200,400,600,800]
plot,x,y

One gets a plot. But not what I want.

I need to replace the x-axis with the following axis:

where x=2, a label 'cat'
where x=4, a label 'dog'
where x=6, a label '1.7'
where x=8, a label 'fish'

I know how to suppress the original x-axis, but don't know how to put the
new one in. I am not into object graphic either.
