Dear IDL-progammers

Since we are moving our data from a VAX and a DecStation to Suns and Macs,
I am looking for a program, that converts big <> low-endian byte order and
IEEE <> VAX representation.

I have come over a procedure called vtos.pro originally written by John
Hoegy (now called trans_bytes.pro). This procedure calls two subroutines
(swab_bytes and parcheck) which I am not able to find.

I would really appreciate any pointers to this procedure or anyone using
this for data conversion!

Thanks a lot

Michael.
