Transparent surfaces? [message #3360] Fri, 20 January 1995 14:22 Go to next message

Hi folks,

I haven't found this anywhere in IDL yet, but maybe someone out there
has:

Are there any routines available to get transparent surfaces to plot in
IDL or in PV-WAVE? For example, the SLICER would be an even more
powerful tool if one could set differing transparency levels for given
isosurfaces, slices, etc. (I guess I'm looking for POLYSHADE with a
TRANSPARENCY keyword)

Thanks in advance,
-Dick

Have a look at "Extending IDL's Surface Plotting Routines" by Struan Gray:
