Idl vs. PV-Wave widget programming [message #3387]

Hi IDL/PV-Wave users,

as I have mentioned in the subject line, I would like to know the
differences in widget programming between IDL and PV-Wave. Is there
any compatibility between the two packages so that I eg. can code my widgets
under IDL and run the program under PV-Wave ?

I would very much appreciate any hint on this problem.

IDL Version: 3.6 (available at my site)
PV-Wave Version : 4.2 (not available, but I should write a visualiz. tool)
