Help with Default graphics font [message #3422]

I am running IDL 3.6 on Sun Sparc 10 under sunos 4.1.2 using Openwindows.

I am trying to change my default graphical font to something readable.

I can do a device call successfully, But is there a way of setting the default for
all users? I would think it would be in the .Xdefaults file. I have
specified a line:

idl.fontList: -adobe-new century normal--25-250-75-75-p--iso8859-1

but this does not help.
