Two questions:

1) How can I specify the background color of IDL widgets? In PseudoColor
mode, what is the colormap index of the widget background color?

2) Is the widget background color available as a color value for me to use
in IDL? For example, how can I set the background of a draw widget
to match the background of the base widgets?
