Many softwares that I use have user conference/meeting which the vendor
periodically held, in various cities, throughout the world. Such meetings
give the vendor an opportunity to high light any new development underway,
and also to meet and take input from the users on future developmental
needs.

Are there similar avenue for IDL users?
If so, when was the last time, and where?
If not, why not?
