Filled contour like plot without interpolation? [message #34640] Wed, 09 April 2003 08:01

I have fairly coarsely gridded data I want to plot in a filled contour
like plot.

The natural interpolation of the contour routine makes it hard to
distinguish real trends from interpolation artifacts. (Most of the
points are zero, but treating these as missing data does not leave
enough to plot, and interpolation makes them hard to see).

I'd like something like TV display of an image (I think - I never use
this), but designed for postscript output, not the screen.

Any suggestions?
