Since my previous post seems to have disappeared before being answered..,
here it is again.

How can I interrupt the PLOT procedure without crashing the program, so that
I don't sometimes have to wait several minutes for a plot to finish? I'm
using IDL under Windows, and Ctrl-C doesn't make any impression while PLOT
is running.

I'm especially interested to have a CANCEL type widget appear as soon as
plotting starts.
