Yes. And if you (like me) only have access to IDL 5.4 or lower, which
don't yet have the FILE_SEARCH function, see the previous discussions on
FINDFILE in this group. You'll find lots of threads with a Google groups
search for "findfile", including explanations why FINDFILE won't find
large numbers of files on some Unix systems, and workarounds for that
problem (which usually use the Unix "find" command).
