IDL routine for compress raster-8 image? (lossless) [message #3515]

Actually I get 320x240x8bits (~75kB) image via IDL on PC.
I hope to compress data and store thhem into a HDF file.
But RLE and IMCOMP compression with DFR8_ADDIMAGE is not a good
choice for me.
(i.e. I search a lossless compression and
big compression because 60 images x 75 kB ~ 4.5 MB)

Problem:

I have a code in C langage, but is not possible use CALL_EXTERNAL
because maximum data with DLL is 64 kB.

Question:

Do you known a IDL routine for compress raster-8 image? (lossless)
