Forget it. There's nothing there anyway.

Cheers,

David

P.S. Just kidding, guys. Geez. :-)

(Oh, oh, here come the archivist police again.)

Well, if I could read the official site with gnus, I'd consider reading it. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure the archivists will forgive us
for threads that actually help solve a problem.
But I must get 10-15 letters a month from them
complaining about posts that don't seem to have
any point whatsoever. "Whatever", I say. :-)

Cheers,

David

P.S. Let's just say that having fun is at least as
important as proper indentation style for serious
programmers.

I am too
The handling of this site is easier but I don't like to get all this
beta statements into the google archive.

I prefer this site to the official site, because nothing is happening on
the official site. Of course, nothing is happening on the official site
because lots of other people made the same decision. So it's a vicious
circle.

This is my feeling too, but we should a bit carefully with the license
agreement for the beta test.
And RSI did have done a good job with this new beta test forum.
May be it takes some time ...

Actually, no one is reading the "official" site.
I think people prefer the raunchy humor here. Figures.

Well, this has turned out to be (apparently) a flaky printer
driver. After deleting all my printers and re-installing
things seem to be working as I expected them to. Sorry
for all the hoo-ha. :-(

Cheers,

David

Nor by me. For me printing from IDL 6.0 beta (latest version) works much the
same as it does from IDL 5.6. (The fonts in 6.0 beta might be nicer though.)

I'm generally printing from Windows 2000 to HP Laserjet or Canon
photocopier/printers via the Postscript driver.
