Hello,
Does anybody know about the problem that idl 5.6
ends with an unpredictable fault?

Unable to free memory: from array descriptor
Interrupted system call

with IDL 5.4 I have never seen this message before

Linux Kernel 2.4.20-64GB-SMP
Xeon 2.40GHz double processor board
1 GB main memmory
IDL 5.6
