Hello group. A mapping question: suppose I have a climate model
for which I have scalar and vector data which I wish to plot in a
standard polar stereo (say) projection. The problem is that the
grid is non-standard: the north pole has been rotated into greenland
(for obvious reasons). Can IDL cope with this (via the standard
mapping routines; I alread have some grungy code that can just
about cope by doing everything by hand).
You may (at your option) assume that the grid remains regular, in
the sense that the south pole is correspondindly moved; but you get
more points for the "non-linear" case in which the south pole remains
at 90S.
