Given: A=matrix[3D, real numbers]

Orientation of matrix: x-axis=East-West, y-axis=North=south, Z=toward the
centre of Earth

Applied: Using EXTRACT_SLICE(...,/SAMPLE,...), extracted N30W, N60W, S30W,
S60W slices.

Results: The resulting slices of N30W, N60W, S30W, S60W are found to be
significantly different from those at N-S or E-W (along the x- and y-axis of
the original dataset).

Question: Has anyone found a better way to do this? Another function?
Routine? Interpolation method?Tested with other combinations of the keywords
in EXTRACT_SLICE and cannot improve the result. I anticipated a much more
gradual transition from the N-S and E-W slices to the extracted slices.

Thanks in advance,

MC
