I had the same problem a year ago when I was writing software to
georectify data for a new airborne spectrometer. After seeing how
much RSI was asking for to develop it into a more user-friendly
version accessible in batch, I set out to do it myself. I amazed
myself by building code that ran faster with better results than
theirs. Unfortunately, it's proprietary and I can't give it away. On
the plus side, though, this feature will (or is slated to be) included
in ENVI 4.0, which will be out in a few months (if you can wait that
long!).

I seem to have found a quick way of doing it, not the cleanest but it
works. cheers.
the next one is how the hell do you output esri format ascii grids from
batch! got it doing envi fromat grids, but I can't see a cood way of
getting it to do the esri formats, if necessay I can write a routine to
do it by hand, I just would rather find the inevitable short cut first!
