I don't know of any IDL code to do the job, but it is possible to
create a GIF file for every frame and use a separate mpeg encoder
(available at havefun.stanford.edu as /pub/mpeg/MPEGv1.2.tar.Z, or as
pvrgmpeg at SimTel (msdos)). It is a bit clumsy to use because you
have to convert the GIF file to a different format twice.
