Has anyone had any experience using a 3D input device in IDL?

One of the hardware engineers ordered in a 3D input device to use in a CAD
program. I played around with it for a bit and was amazed at how much
control and how intuitive it was to manipulate 3D graphics. With it you can
simultaneously Zoom, Pan, and Translate a 3D object . I instantly thought
"How do I integrate this with my IDL application?".

Is anyone out there already using a 3D input device? If so what's it called.

Dan
