Hi,

I am running IDL 5.4 in Win XP and it crashes more than half of the
times while running (different) programs. This only happens on my
machine and not in others with the same configuration and running the
same routines. The message I get is:

"IDL for Windows Integrated Development Environment has encounteres a
problem and needs to close...."

then if I click in Debug I get:

"Unhandled exception in idlde.ex (IDL32.DLL): 0xC00000005: Access
Violation"

and there are many hex numbers and stuff if one click on "Technical
information" that I would be happy to share with someone who's
interested...

I have tried reinstalling IDL, I also installed the version 6.0 in
demo mode. Everything! But the crashes are still there. Any ideas??
Reinstall windows? Remove all the other software? Change the RAM? (I
have 512Mb by the way)

Any help would be apreciatted!
