Hi,

I've got myself into trouble when I decided to upgrade to Redhat 9...
I've also installed all package upgrades from rhn, and now I run into
a weird behavior in idl 5.5 (also on 5.4 and 5.3). When I try to open
a file (.pro) in idlde, the interface either crashes or remains there
for good, doing nothing (the only thing I can do is to kill the job).
The problem has really started after the last series of upgrades I've
made from rhn, but I can't remember exactly what packages were
installed. Has anybody experienced the same problem? I know, I know I
should upgrade to idl 6.0, but I would really appreciate if someone
could help me on this.
