Hi,

I've put a library which I developed over the last couple of months
on the web for free download. Some of the functionality (esp. data I/O)
is probably somewhat specific to the medical environment I work in, but
maybe the graphics objects are of more general use.

Anyway. Please see
http://www.jubileum.lu.se/MR_physics/idllib_overview.htm
for a feature list and a screenshot which includes some
of the implemented objects.

Features in a nutshell:

- 2 display objects (single image and multiple images in a grid)
- 5 objects that 'plug into' the display objects and provide
functionality as zooming/contrast change/roi definition/panning.
This happens transparent to the user as the objects exchange
messages in the background - the user code thus consists
of only 2-3 lines per functionality
- writing of standard DICOM3.0 files and direct data access
through tagnames (via an object which extends IDLffDicom)
- simple loading of large datasets in DICOM format
- full documentation in HTML
http://www.jubileum.lu.se/MR_physics/idllib/index.html
- includes a couple of code examples
- published under the GPL

Cheers
Oliver
