I have been playing around with Fedora and IDL and have noticed that it
was working but some of the demo programs would crash. But a coworker
of mine has IDL running perfectly on Fedora. He installed the
non-open-source accelerated video driver and things work great.
Since he has IDL working perfectly under Fedora, I am going to move
ahead with Fedora in my upgrading (after a couple more tests of my own).
