How to retrieve the LAT/LON information from HDF-EOS file with SIN projection? [message #37557]

Hi, there,

I'm processing an HDF-EOS file (MODIS Image). I can get the dimensions
of the image and read the values of each pixel, but I have difficulty
to
get the Lat/Lon information for the pixels.

Anyone has an idea on how to retrieve the coordiantes for each pixel
from HDF-EOS file using IDL? The image is in SIN projection.

Here is a sample file (Image size 240*240, 17 bands). You can
download it and have a try (
