Hello,

My IDL application to predict the performance of a radar system works great
but due to the large amount of number-crunching involved it takes too long
to complete. Currently I'm using a Pentium 4 processor but would like to
migrate development to a multi-processor VME system running under a
real-time OS like vxWorks or LynxOS.

Having looked at the External Development Guide, there is a thing called
"Callable IDL" (and a lot more stuff)allowing for procedures to be called as
subroutines. If anyone has experience running IDL on multiple CPUs in a
real-time system I would really appreciate to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Bob
