Since IDL 6.0 introduced the path cache to speed up routine file
location, you can now mark a directory with a file named "IDL_NOCACHE"
to prevent that directory from being included in the cache. Is their
an equivalent way to mark a directory so that it is not included in
!PATH at all? Something like "IDL_IGNORE" or some such comes to mind,
but I haven't found a mention of it. This would really help when you
have a large directory structure you'd like to included en masse using
"+/path/to/library", but have some scratch sub-directories with
unstable .pro files you'd like to ignore. How do other people handle
this common occurrence?
