append a matrix after a .dat file which stores all similar matrix [message #38593]

I have a matrix and I want to append it to the end of LBP.dat file.
The LBP.dat file should store more than one matrix for later analysis.
The matrices have uniform size 512x513, where the first row is the
identifier of the 512x512 matrix. However, I tried:

printf,lun,'$(512F)', arr

which will overwrite the whatever I had previously in LBP.dat.

Any idea how to solve this problem?
