/BLOCK vs. /NO_BLOCK in .sav-files [message #38895]

Hi!

I wrote a small program that reads a string from a GUI. The GUI
contains a window for the string and a button ï¿½GO' to execute a
program ï¿½prog1.pro'. The XMANAGER for the GUI has the /NO_BLOCK
command. First thing ï¿½prog1.pro' should do is display a file with
XDISPLAYFILE and stop until I kill the XDISPLAYFILE window. It stops
because of /BLOCK in XDISPLAYFILE. Then ï¿½prog1.pro' goes on, but that
isn't important anymore.
When I let run the main program i.e. from the prompt everything works
fine. But when I want to run the program from a .sav-file, somehow the
/BLOCK command in XDISPLAYFILE is ignored and ï¿½prog1.pro' goes on
without waiting until I kill the displayed file window.
Why does everything work fine in a normal program but not from a .sav
file?
I'm using IDL 6.0 and Win NT.
