I know that this is a common question that I should know the
answer to (and should be in the manual as well), but I don't (and it's
not). Under X, the default window size is 640x512. How can I change
this default "permanently". Is there something that I can put in my
.Xdefaults file for this.

On a related note, people should post their knowledge of the
valid X resource names and what they do. Thsi info should then be
added to the FAQ.
