You might want to see the LEGEND routine in the astronomical library. I
think it does exactly what you're looking for.

Yep,

Just wondering if there was a more "built in" way to do this. But it's
not hard as it is.

Isn't a table just some text (XYOUTS) with some lines (PLOTS)
drawn around them?
