In situations like these, where Object Graphics programs work fine on one
box and not on another, you should almost always try using the software
renderer to see if the problem goes away. If the program works fine with
the software renderer, then there is a good possibility that your OpenGL
drivers have a problem and the next thing you should do is upgrade them.
BTW, panorama works fine on my XP machine.

Well, i have probed the "demo" application of IDL and the "panorama"
program crashes the IDL.
Can you (both David and Haje) probe it to?

I've been running on Windows XP for a long time.
I've never seen a problem like this in either IDL 6.0
or IDL 6.1. :-)
