Ok, I read up on the virtual machine, which seems to be very
handy and simple to use, at least from the documentation. I made
my save file and loaded it up after running idl -vm, the widgets
appear on the screen and, ..., nothing. If I restore my save
file and run the main routine from the idl command line, it
works. If I try to run it with idl -vm or idl -rm, it appears
that no widget events are processed. Or maybe none are
generated? Or something is blocking events but I can't figure
out what? Can anyone suggest a way to debug this? I'm using IDL
Version 6.0 (linux x86 m32).

Mike
