Details:
Required Experience: 5-10 years software development
Must be proficient in IDL/ENVI programming.
Bachelors' Degree, Masters will be preferred.
Familiar with remote sensing/image processing/GIS
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain multi-language Quality Control software for
imagery and metadata products. Perform modifications to QC software
interfacing with several RDBMS and upstream and downstream production
components.
2. Write and implement test plans and procedures.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve problems
4. Contribute to rotating operational support
5. Work with other software engineering groups to identify and improve
system software processes.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
-US Citizen, applicant must be able to attain a Security Clearance.
-Software Development
-IDL/ENVI
-Java (1);C/C++(2);Unix Scripting
-SQL
-Unix
-Distributed systems
-Good process discipline and experience from analysis through test
-Experience in integrating complex applications and databases
-Previous experience with GIS systems, image data processing and other
satellite and remote sensing related applications
-Network Management
-Strong technical writing skills
-Web interface development
