Thanks for sharing that David - it reminds me very much of my
times in Europe as a grad student. Milk in boxes - very exotic -
don't squeeze too hard as you open them. And I'll never forget
the sudden flash of insight as all that traffic came at me - "oh,
that's what einbahnstrasse means!"

This is excellent. Its a wonderful insight into `An American in
Europe/Germany' I look forward to the next instalment.

Hi, David
Welcome in Munich or better in Garching (I think you will see that there
is a slight difference).

I am just looking out of my office window (in Garching direction and the
new soccer stadium) and ask me how it is possible that the world looks so
nicely different from Garching direction as it appears from your first
impressions (ID(a)Lien/marsian/moonish ?).

I hope you will have the opportunity and the pleasure to look from some
other directions too.
Regards
Karsten

Hallo David,

Spa in Mnchen! Bald ist ja Oktoberfest...

Viele Gre,
Benjamin

PS: In case your phrase book is not good enough, I'm sure you already
discovered http://dict.leo.org/!
