Well, sorry. A combination of the ass-biting thing I spoke
about earlier and a strange interaction in the way widget
resizing events are handled in Redhat Linux, which could
be fixed in IDL 6.1 (which I can't test, unfortunately).

Anyway, with the help of some kind folks at RSI, I've
come up with an acceptable work-around and I am back on
track. (The work-around, if you need it, is to simply
get the size of the PropertySheet and then set it back to
that same size. This apparently generates some kind of
a refresh that was interrupted when a modal dialog appeared.)
