Senior Software Quality Engineer
We have a great opportunity for experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineers
to join our team. We are seeking two IDL programmers to test IDL from early
development through to release. The successful candidates will be
responsible for performing complex functional, application, regression and
performance tests on moderate to large software projects, defining test
objectives, and writing test cases to those objectives. Other duties involve
setting up and running test cases for assigned modules, recording results in
accordance with the Quality Process and providing feedback on required
tasks, schedule estimates, testing progress and results. As part of the
team, the person in this position will communicate with software developers,
technical writers, and technical support on product issues, and assist
product developers and technical support specialists in the solution of
complex problems.
Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications:
a.. Bachelor's Degree in computer science or the sciences, or equivalent
experience.
b.. Five + years of experience in product testing, research, or
development.
c.. Understanding of the software development process, including design,
implementation, testing, and documentation.
d.. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
a.. Fluency in IDL Programming.
b.. A strong working knowledge of modern programming languages such as C++
and Java.
c.. Experience building and executing requirements-based test cases and
writing test problem reports.
